During this week in class we started presentations. Although I have not gone yet I am already feeling better about it after seeing the first two. I think this is so because it is art and we are going to be giving the class something to do that I hope will be fun. Even though the subject is art and I have never thought myself to be very good or into art, I'm finding that it seems easier because it is art and you can have fun with it, whereas if you are presenting about a sad historical event you cant have fun with it and that takes the level of seriousness of the presentation up.
Also I really enjoyed the activity we did with observing and seeing. This concept was very clear to me after participating in drawing sections of the upside down picture. even if i was given that picture in full and tried doing upside down I would not have gotten it to look the way it does because I would have been looking at the over all picture and not each line individually. I can now see why being about to do this is very important. I think this will be an important lesson to teach kids, especially at a young age when learning it will be easier and not have to replace what you already do with something new.
